Performance Anxiety Coaching in Sussex
In addition to performance anxiety coaching (UK online or face-to-face in Sussex), I also teach English to adults. And, I’m a self-employed piano teacher. If you would like to discover the joy of the piano, or enable your children to do so, I offer tailored teaching programmes in your home.
Here’s more about my background, qualifications and experience.
My Background
I’m from a musical family, taking up the piano as a child with great enthusiasm.
My qualifications are mostly music-related: I have a Degree and a Diploma in piano performance and a Masters in Composition.
Having travelled and taught English abroad, I’m now resident in the UK, in Worthing.
My Story
Despite my love of music, excruciating performance anxiety affected my earlier life. Badly.
At music college, stage fright prevented me from achieving the success I deserved. I even stopped playing the piano for 20 long years. (Good news: I’ve now re-embraced my love of the piano. Plus, I’m performing again. In public.)
I share this vivid lived experience to give you hope and encouragement.
And, to tell you that it will be my greatest joy to empower you to positive growth and development. You do not deserve this fear. I know this much is true:
Whatever your phobia or anxiety, with the right support and encouragement – and your hard work – you CAN conquer it. You really can.

It goes without saying: as a musician, you’ll be performing in front of others. That’s what you do. Or rather, what you’d like to do.
But you can’t. Your anxiety has got the better of you. It’s compromising your success right now and your future personal growth as a player.
I’m here to help you do what you do best: play your instrument, and start loving it again. With renewed confidence you’ll have the right tools for an upcoming exam. Equally, you could be playing with conviction and resilience before an audience. What could be better?

The truth is, English isn’t an easy language to master, not least how it’s spoken.
With English as a second or third language, working in the UK may pose problems. You may be nervous about speaking up in meetings, or presenting.
I have the solution: with bespoke programmes involving language teaching, input on vocabulary and listening practice, I’ll help you feel in a stronger position to contribute to the company you work for.
